Today, the four of us are best friends, business partners and honorary members of each other's extended family. But our story starts 15 years ago, when we became friends while students at Saint Louis University. Over the years, we have shared it all: our college days, career paths, engagements, weddings, countless Saturday nights, Sunday mornings, group vacations and the birth of our children. All the while we day dreamed about going into business together, and when TheInitialBaby.com presented itself we knew it was the perfect fit. After all, by this time many of our friends and family members had been blessed with babies that we wanted to welcome with an adorable outfit or perfect present. We were constantly on the lookout for an off the registry gift as special as the baby that would receive it.

But it is our hope that shopping on this site will mean more than just an on-line purchase. We hope to use it as a vehicle to do what we love, help charitable causes that are important to us and to spotlight the work of creative, independent artists from around the country.

And although we all still continue our day jobs, Meredith in public relations, Maggie as a teacher, Josh in sales and Ryan in real estate, we could not be happier taking on TheInitialBaby.com as a true labor of love.
